I'm a 15 year old male, turning 16 in a month. I have suffered from acne since I was about 13 (Although, it seems like it's been forever).

I have tried various cleansers/medications on the shelf in drug stores, such as Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, Cetaphil, Clearisil, Oxy, etc. They haven't done anything except cleanse my face and probably keep my acne from going haywire. My doctor also prescribed me Epiduo (TacTuo), Stievamycin, and a strong Benzoyl Peroxide cream that I forget the name of.

However, they haven't really done anything. They reduce my acne for a week or two, but then it seems like my body just starts to become immune to them because it goes back to its bad self. I know I don't have horrible acne, or cystic acne, I really do know that. But I have moderate acne. I get it on my chest, belly, arms, neck, back, shoulders, face, and very rarely my groin area. It's the worst on my back, shoulders, neck and face. My back, neck and shoulders are a lot worse than my face. My face alternates between light, not very noticable acne to moderate, noticable acne. However, my back, shoulders and neck always have moderate-severe very noticable acne that is just everywhere.

I've tried cutting things out of my diet as well, and nothing has worked. I wash my face twice a day, use what my doctor gives me, change my pillow case every second day, etc. Nothing works. My doctor is the type that acts like people's acne isn't bad, even though it is. I want to ask him if he'll give me Accutane, but I'm pretty sure he'll say no. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do or say to him to convice him, or something. I am aware of all the side effects of Accutane, and my parents back me up on it. I don't want to try anything else but Accutane, because I know it'll only work for a week or two then stop working, I just want it gone already. Three of my friends have went on it and the only side effects they experienced were dry skin, and now they have no acne at all.

I also should mention I have extremely oily skin.

I am 17, have mild acne and my dermatologist recommended that I use the 4% Benzoyl Peroxide cream wash by Panoxyl. I have used it everyday, once in the morning and once at night, for about a month. There was one week where I used it every other day.

I dont have sensetive skin at all and my skin was on the oily side but after I started using Panoxyl it burned. It was tolerable but my skin like around my jawline started peeling and was pink and dry so it looks really weird like liver spots or something because I have a tan. I can say though that my skin looks smooth and clear but how long will it be pink and dry? Will I get my color back?

i know this sounds weird but i like the redness that it caused me from when i was still applying it to my acne. i know it dries the skin but other than that, are there any other side effects?

I'm 14 and basically i've had spots for quite a while now. I would describe my skin as quite oily. I've tried almost everything.
the things i've tried:
tea tree oil
rose water
Clearasil
hot water then cold water
Benzoyl Peroxide from the doctors
cucumber face mask
washing face twice a day
all of these have got rid of most of the spots at the moment i'm still using Benzoyl Peroxide with Clearasil over night wash and it gets rid of most of my spots but the Benzoyl Peroxide makes my face quite dry, red and flaky so i only use it every other day. it doesn't get rid of all the spots and i ws wondering that if anyone who no's what to use or suffered from acne and managed to get rid of it would help me out? any help would be most appreciated it would be nice to feel confident again! THANKS

HI Asked: Acne Regiment From Doc help!?

So I was given Retin-A (.025%), Erythromycin (2%), and Benzoyl Peroxide (5%).
I am directed to use erythromycin and benzoyl peroxide in the morning.

Am I to use erythromycin before using retin-a at night, also? Thanks
