Tierce Asked: How to get rid of acne in four weeks?

Alright, here's the deal, I have a science award presentation in the middle of August. And I have moderate acne that is a nuisance. It wouldn't be a big deal if it was just pictures with friends. But the media's going to be there and it's going to be a pretty big deal. So I want to look good and what not. So, as my question states, how can I get rid of my acne (clear my face) within four to five weeks? Or do you have any tips or homemade remedies that could help with clearing my face up.

Information that might help:
I irregularly use the Neutrogena Wave twice a day. It's kind of an on and off thing. (I know I should be doing it everyday, so don't ridicule)
I don't have any money that I can just spend on Proactiv or skin ID or other remedies like that. I need cheap ways (preferably free) and tips that can easily be done at home.
I can't go to a dermatologist because I don't have the money and I don't think that's necessary for my case.
I know personalized treatments work better, but I kind of need a somewhat generic one that works according to your knowledge.

And I think that's it. So, can you help me?

Well first don't touch them! Second use a mask mine is neutrogena it works perfectly gets rid of pores right before ur eyes!! Like magic!

i like to use sheet masks. some are as low as $2.00 the tea tree one works best for acne this is the site i always use efacialmasks.com they send the sheet mask fast too it worked for me i had baby butt smooth skin with no acne no problems at all it is like giving yourself a facial but for $2.00.

hmmm… Acne Free works for me, and I don't think it's as expensive as Proactive. I'm sure if you asked your parents they would be willing to spend 20$ … you can get it at Walmart. And if they won't just give you the money, ask if you can work for it – helping around your house or even for your neighbors.

My acne was also moderate but I couldn't get anything to cure it.I went to my dermatologist and I was prescribed to a face wash that was 10% benzoyle peroxide.

I know you said you didnt want to go to a doctor, so try going to walgreens and look for face washes that have a high percentage of benzoyle peroxide.Use a regular wash in the morning, and the benzoyl peroxide wash at night for the first two weeks (it can be very drying so you want your skin to adjust to it). After the first two weeks you can then move on to using it twice a day. It worked for me! icon smile How to get rid of acne in four weeks?

I'm not sure if this will get rid of it in four weeks. . But you could try a pore cleansing scrub. A favorite of mine is Neutrogena Naturals: http://browngrrrl.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/neutrogena-naturals.jpg
It's not terribly expensive and it works very well for me.

Also, it would be a good idea to invest in a facial toner that contains either witch hazel or tea tree oil. Both are excellent to purify your skin.

Last, pick a oil-free moisturizer for sensitive skin. It will help hydrate your skin so the cleansing products won't dry it out.
